Investment Castings at Uni-Cast Offer

Design Flexibility

Our Casting technology allows flexibility in designing unique and complex geometries.  The complexity of casting shapes such as 3-D contours, thin walls and undercuts is no longer a major factor to consider, thereby allowing designers to concentrate on functionality rather than the constraints of other manufacturing processes.

Elimination of Unnecessary Weight
Maximum weight reduction can be achieved with our thin-wall technology.  Parts are reinforced only in specific areas, thereby eliminating overlaps, rivets and excess material.

Close Tolerances and Consistency
Our very consistent process allows for tighter tolerances than other casting processes.

Reduction of Machining
Well-engineered designs, along with consistent dimensioning and tolerancing techniques, minimize the need for secondary operations.

Lower Total Component Cost
Incorporating many functional features into the same complex casting reduces the number of subassemblies, which in turn lowers the overall manufacturing cost.

Good Surface Finish
Components can be cast with ultra-smooth surfaces allowing for better flow of air or fluid which improves performance of the parts without the added cost of expensive and heavy surface finishes.

Rapid Prototypes:

Uni-Cast uses various 3-D CAD-based rapid prototyping techniques such as stereolithography, selective laser sintering and thermo-jet printing to generate models which can then be turned into castings for proof of concept or pre-production runs. This process eliminates the need for injection tooling until the design is proven.

Uni-Cast has invested in unique equipment and processes to produce defect-free, production-ready hardware, with dimensional accuracy, metallurgical integrity, and superior surface finish.
